introduction session

Assalamualaikum to all my followers......

 Interesting to have my own blog because i never have a chance to do it before.I'm not really good in computer but it is a pleasure to be a part of AIU family and join the ICT class here.As the started,i get review on the courses as i need to make some portfolio,blog,team project,assignment and for sure the test and final exam so,hope that i can stand with all of this and finish the courses successfully.I love this word..'the best way to predict the future is to create it'.

 As my next session,i learned to identify all the basic computer hardware architecture as i never thought to know it deeply.Hence,finally i get to know the real meaning of computer that is known as a  programmable machine that carries out what it has been instructed to do.However,it can only do 'certain' tasks.Computer can also perform input,processing,output,storage and some communication that forms processing cycle.A computer converts data(input) to become information(output),the processing requires a set of instructions(programs or software),a computer holds data,instructions and information in storage for further use.Next,i know that hardware is the physical parts while software is the set of instructions/programs.The computer hardware includes input devices,output devices,system unit,storage devices and communication devices while computer software also known as a program is a series of related instructions,organized for a common purpose including system software and application software.Next,lets move to the other part of computer which is the special characteristics such as speed,reliability,consistency,storage and communication.I also know that computer is not everything because at last human is the most powerful creation as we have unlimited memory and we don't need anyone to monitor us.Feel glad to know that right?

To further my explanation,i continue with session 3 which i learned about number systems and it is quite interesting since it looks like mathematics and i love mathematics subjects the most.There are 4 number system that i have learned which is decimal,binary,octal and hexadecimal number system.There are 10 numerals in decimal number system which is the values are 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 where the decimal number have a base or radix of ten,written as X10 where the x is any number string.Next,the binary number system uses only two numerals that are 0 and 1.This is the usually number system used in the computer.Octal number system uses eight numerals started from 0 until 7.Lastly,hexadecimal uses sixteen symbols start from 0 until 9 and continue with A,B,C,D,E and F.This is the number system typically used to represent digital data.

Next,we can also change the decimal to binary by repeatedly divide by 2 till the quotient is zero.The same method was used to change decimal to octal by repeatedly divide by 8 until remainder is less than 8 and divided repeatedly by 16 until remainder less than 15 to turn decimal to hex conversion.Different ways are used to change any of the three number system to decimal conversion which is need to use its special table.
